Lexington gets ready for new restaurant

Mellow Mushroom, the funky Atlanta-based pizzeria, set to open Lexington location Monday

Pizza lovers who want to get their "Mellow" on will no longer have it harshed by having to drive all the way to Columbia. Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers says in a release it is scheduled to open its newest South Carolina location, near downtown Lexington, on Monday. The pizzeria is located at 5364 Sunset Blvd., across from the Golden Hills Country Club. Mellow Mushroom features a creative menu with an assortment of pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones, appetizers, vegetarian and vegan options, and gluten-free crust. Diners can also enjoy eating outdoors on two large patios, according to the company.
