The staff works hard and this is definitely disappointing to see that the district has dropped to aRead More B. I am sure the staff will work hard so that the grade is raised to an A next time around. I believe the teachers are well educated and really enjoy teaching our young children. Education is a two way street between teachers and children. Parents must support teachers and children in learning. That said we must keep in mind that parents play a vital role in students education and learning processes. Children need to get the proper amount of sleep, nutrition and assistance when necessary with learning. Our children spend all day with teachers who teach because they want to and parents must support the teachers and assist the students as necessary to ensure they are learning. The district wide grade of a B is not as terrible as the title implies.

These grades are not important. They force the district to teach to the tests. Lexington One is aRead More great district with lots of wonderful teachers. What we have are more illegal aliens moving in with poverty and low English skills, and we're supposed to teach the kids and have them pass a standardized test???? Get real folks! Dump the State and Feds and let us decide how we want to teach our children!

Seems funny that the elementary school (Red Bank) that has been using the controversial Grading forRead More Learning protocol is ranked so low. Also, I believe that the grades are important. We need to have someway to measure out children's schools.
