It made me cry. I am very proud of this young man, and think all of Lexington should be as well.

I agree that the arts are for everyone. Wouldn't it be great if music started loudly playing in aRead More parking lot, and someone paused and said, "Oh man, this is my favorite Brandenburg Concerto"! Teaching music in the schools is so important!

Peter Sellers was a riot ! His video people often cracked up as he shot scenes. Two unforgettableRead More scenes: Dr. Strangelove, his one arm locked on the other one as the other arm tries to strangle him; and the bomber pilot: Slim Pickins ticking off his survival list (in case he crashes in Russia) and ticking off about 11 items including condoms. It was a bit irreverent.

Galen, If you look at the Strangelove scene where he's trying to unlock his arm, you can actuallyRead More see the guy standing next to him--the Russian ambassador--trying not to laugh.

It reminds me of one of the last scenes he did as Inspector Clouseau before his death. In the sceneRead More Clouseau trying to spy "incognito" as a Pirate Captain complete with peg leg, with an inflatable parrot on his shoulder (that he had to keep on pumping up) The camera crew kept on breaking up while they filmed it ! By the way, I lived four years in France, so I got used to European humor and enjoyed it. I also love American "slapstick."

As much as it disappoints us to do so, Village at Sandhill is postponing tonight's edition ofRead More "Music at Sandhill" and rescheduling the show with party band "Right to Party" for Friday, May 17. With the threat of severe weather and a forecast of an 80% chance of rain, we feel it's in the best interest for all involved to make the announcement now and save everyone the uncertainty and potential inconvenience. But fear not! WE WILL RETURN next Friday April 26 from 7pm-9pm with R&B, Motown, and Soul band "Fantasy" for "Music at Sandhill presented by Grow Financial Federal Credit Union"! BE HERE!
