The main branch of the Lexington County Public Library is a 48,000-square-foot facility, which opened in 1998 and is overseen by librarian Mark T. Mancuso. The two-level building features a large variety of books and resources, including a children's area, videos, books-on-tape, periodicals, newspaper collections, two conference rooms, a virtual library containing 16 Internet access computers and a meeting room that can accommodate 100 people.
