Lexington Cops to Raise Money for Special Olympics

The 2013 Cops and Calabash fundraiser kicks off Wednesday at Fatz Cafe in Lexington.

The fourth annual Cops and Calabash fundraiser for the South Carolina Special Olympics will take place Wednesday through Friday at Fatz Cafe in Lexington.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Lexington Police Department officers will work as servers, and any cash tips that customers leave will be donated to the Special Olympics. 

Customers also will be able to leave donations for Special Olympics at their dining tables during the fundraiser.

The fundraiser takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
