Former Lexington Coach Scott Earley Leaves Florida Coaching Job

Earley returned to South Carolina after only a week at a new coaching job in Florida, according to a report.

Scott Earley, former head football coach and athletic director for Lexington High School, is returning to South Carolina after just one week at a coaching job in Florida, according to a report.

Earley left his new position at Seminole High School in Sanford, Fla. after only one practice session, according to the Orlando Sentinel. He told the newspaper there were "contractual issues that didn't work out like we though they would."

Earley resigned from Lexington High in March, stating that he wanted to move closer to family in North Carolina.
