Preview: Lexington One Board to Discuss New Attendance Zones

Zones for two new schools will affect others within school district

At its Tuesday night meeting, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees will hear administrator’s recommendations for attendance zones for two new schools: Meadow Glen Middle School and River Bluff High School. 

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the district office located at 100 Tarrar Springs Road.

The new attendance zones for Meadow Glen Middle and River Bluff High schools will affect the attendance lines of Lexington Middle School, Pleasant Hill Middle School and Lexington High School.

In addition, the district will hold three public meetings so that the public can hear a formal presentation of the proposed attendance lines and review maps of the proposed attendance lines.

  • Monday, Oct. 3, in Pleasant Hill Middle School’s cafeteria
  • Wednesday, Oct. 5, in Lexington High School’s cafeteria
  • Monday, Oct. 10, in Lexington Middle School’s theater.

For each meeting, there will be a formal presentation at 6 p.m. District staff will stay until 7:30 p.m. to answer questions.
