The ACT company updated the tests to reduce the science benchmark by one point (from 24 to 23) and to raise the reading benchmark by one point (from 21 to 22). The company also included the scores of students who receive an accommodation such as a longer period of time in which to take the test. As a result, districts and schools cannot compare data from 2012 to 2013 as usual.
