Soldiers with the 133rd Military Police Company of the S.C. National Guard dedicated a memorial Friday at the Timmonsville Armory to honor three fellow soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan June 20, 2012.

Lexington's 1st Lt. Ryan Davis Rawl, 30, and Spc. John David Meador II, 36, of Columbia, along with Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Bradford Thomas, 30, of Easley were killed in Khowst City, Khowst Province, Afghanistan when their patrol was attacked by a suicide bomber. Five other soldiers also were wounded in the incident.
