The Lexington County Republican Party celebrated the opening of its first campaign office Thursday with a ribbon cutting.
LCRP Chairman Steve Isom was joined by S.C. GOP Chair Chad Connelly and a handful of candidates Thursday for the ceremony.
"We're here to defend citizens' right to vote this fall. We want people to choose the candidates," Isom said before the ribbon cutting. "Stand up for your rights — the freedom to choose your course in life, your destiny. This is the Republican Party, the conservative party."
The office, located at 100 Oakwood Drive, Suite 5, was donated by Wilma Hoffmann Storey, LCRP county secretary and owner of Storey Tax & Financial Services.
"We are happy to donate this space and provide the opportunity to the citizens and Lexington County to have a resource for the conservative message, for bumper stickers, yard signs and to help all of our candidates," Storey said.
Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
