Woman, 65, Killed in West Columbia House Fire

The fire occurred around 5:52 a.m. in a home on Newfield Drive.

A 65-year-old woman was killed in a house fire in West Columbia Tuesday morning.

The fire occurred around 5:52 a.m. in a home on Newfield Drive.

Nancye Harrell of West Columbia died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning and thermal injury due to the house fire, said Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman.
