Sheriff's Department Holiday Toy Drive Continues
Citizens can drop off toys Saturday at an event in West Columbia hosted by the Columbia Classic Chevy Club.
The Columbia Classic Chevy Club will hold a drive-in event Saturday in West Columbia to collect toys for the Lexington County Sheriff's Department Holiday Toy Drive.
Sheriff James Metts encourages citizens to stop by the Woodberry Plaza shopping center at the intersection of Woodberry Road and U.s. 1 between 12 and 4 p.m. to donate new, unwrapped toys.
Toys that are donated to the sheriff’s department will be distributed to children in Lexington County who are in need of assistance through The Salvation Army.

Citizens who have questions concerning the drop-in event can contact William Clayborne with the Columbia Classic Chevy Club at 803-606-0509 or Lt. Kevin Blackmon with the sheriff's department at 803-785-2411.
If you can't make it to the drive-in event Saturday, you can drop off toys or monetary donations until Christmas Eve at the following sheriff’s department facilities:
