Deputies Ready for National Night Out

Will you participate in National Night Out?

Law enforcement agencies across the country encourage residents to participate in the National Night Out on Aug. 6. 

Twenty events will be hosted in Lexington County. 

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said resident deputies urged neighborhood watch groups to participate in National Night Out in order to show criminals that citizens are vigilant in protecting their neighborhoods, a press release stated.

"National Night Out places criminals on notice that citizens work in partnership with law enforcement to remove opportunities for criminals to commit crimes."
