It's so quiet here
No tears, laughter, shouting or singing
Just some dishes in the sink
And dirty clothes on the floor.
J-Man started kindergarten today
I wonder how he'll do
Chaz-bo's in second grade
Ready for new challenges.
I'm doing fine, though
Thanks so much for asking
No wait, you didn't
Neither does anyone else.
Dads are made to be strong, stoic
Kick 'em out the door
But the countdown's ticking in my brain
Til I see them back at home.
The wife's with neighbors, friends
Mourning end of summer, loss of youth
I'm here all alone
Where's my support group?

Chris, that's a good question! No one has ever asked dad what he thinks! Thanks for sharing with us!
