2,482 Homeless Pets Saved in One Year

2,482 LIVES SAVED from July 13th, 2011 through July 12th, 2012!

Pawmetto Lifeline's rescue program, HEART (Help Every Animal Reach Tomorrow), partners with Midlands municipal shelters and 501(c)3 rescue organizations across the country to facilitate the rescue of homeless pets in our community. Every day a representative from Pawmetto Lifeline photographs companion pets scheduled for euthanasia in Midlands municipal shelters and promotes them via email to rescue groups across the country.

Through our rescue program, the following lives were saved through our partnership with the local municipal shelters and our 121 rescue partners across the country:

City/Richland Animal Care Services: 1,870
Lexington County Animal Care Services: 612

THANK YOU to Lexington County Animal Services, City of Columbia/Richland County Animal Shelter and our 121 Rescue Partners for allowing us to work with you to save thousands of lives that would have otherwise been lost.

How can you help? We are in constant need of foster homes and life sponsors for the pets on deathrow at the local shelters. Please call (803)465-9184 or email info@heartofthemidlands.org to donate today. Your gift today can literally save a life tomorrow.
