Update: Wildcats Defeat Cooper City Cowboys

The Wildcats brought home their first win of the season.

 

Update: The Wildcats won their first-ever game against an out-of-state team Friday night. 

Lexington defeated the Cooper City Florida Cowboys 35-14, bringing home their first win of the season. The Wildcats now stand at 1-4.

Next week, the team will play an away game against Lugoff-Elgin.

Original story: The Wildcats will take on the Cooper City Cowboys from Florida at the Lexington High stadium Friday night. 

The game is the first between the two teams, according to a report in The State, and it's also Lexington's first game against an out-of-state team. 

Lexington stands at 0-4 after losing to the Irmo Yellowjackets last week. Cooper City's record is 1-1.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m.
