Tic Toc Candy Shoppe Coming to Lexington

The store will open on Sunset Boulevard in May.

Tic Toc Candy Shoppe is bringing its 48 flavors of Jelly Beans, 21 colors of M&Ms and its classic and trendy candy to Lexington in May.

Owners Lynn Humphrey and Dee Dailey, who already have a shop in Five Points by the same name, will open their second location on May 4 in the Hope Ferry Shopping Center on Sunset Boulevard.

Their store offers longtime favorites like Bazooka bubble gum, Pop Rocks candy and Whatchamacallit candy bars. But they also sell new sugary treats like Toxic Waste sour candy.

"We enjoy getting into the nostalgic stuff, but we like to keep up with the trendy as well," Humphrey said. "We do like to create an environment that can take adults down memory lane but also be a colorful place full of candy for children."

At the Lexington location, they'll also have space for children's birthday parties. The store, which will open where the women's clothing store Envii used to be, will be a little bigger than their Five Points location.

Adding to the playful feel of the Five Points store is a rhythm clock — a clock with moving parts that plays music every hour on the hour.

"It kind of gives a little whimsical feel," Humphrey said.

The Lexington location will also feature a rhythm clock, which keeps with the store's slogan: "It's always candy time!"
