Sheriff's Department to Hold 'Pray 4 Kennedy' Fundraiser
The fundraiser will be held Saturday at the Buffalo Wild Wings on Sunset Boulevard.
The Lexington community is coming together again Saturday to raise money for Kennedy Branham, a Lexington teenager undergoing treatment for a malignant brain tumor.
Lexington County deputies, Buffalo Wild Wings and Palmetto Boxing are will hold the all-day fundraiser at the Sunset Boulevard Buffalo Wild Wings.
Branham, a 13-year-old Lexington middle-schooler, has been battling the cancer since February. Since then, family, friends and others in the community have held benefits to help cover the medical costs of Branham's treatment.
Hundreds of people around town are showing support for Branham by sporting "Pray 4 Kennedy" bracelets, t-shirts and car decals.
Lexington High School's baseball team showed their support by dedicating their season to Branham. Fans wore "Win It 4 Kennedy" t-shirts, and all the players shaved their heads.
The outpour of support continues Saturday with the fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings. The restaurant will donate 10 percent of pre-taxed sales, excluding alcoholic beverages and promotional items, to "Pray 4 Kennedy."
Palmetto Boxing will give customers the opportunity to meet and get autographs from professional and semi-professional boxers.
