Sheriff's Department Collecting Food, Toys for Needy Families

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department Holiday Food and Toy Drive is underway.

If you're out shopping for the holidays in the coming weeks, don't forget about the less fortunate in the community. 

Lexington County Sheriff James Metts is encouraging citizens to donate money, non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys for the agency's annual Holiday Food and Toy Drive. 

The items can be dropped off at any sheriff's department offices, including:

  • James R. Metts Law Enforcement Complex on Gibson Road, Lexington
  • North District Headquarters at 111 Lincreek Drive, Columbia
  • West Region Headquarters at 4079-D Augusta Hwy, Gilbert
  • South District Headquarters at 102 Airport Road, Pelion

Harvest Hope Food Bank will distribute the food, and the Salvation Army will distribute the toys.
