Officers Arrest 4 in Meth Lab Bust Near Lexington

Deputies arrested four people after a six-month undercover operation into the manufacture and sale of meth at a house on Weaver Drive.

Officers arrested two men and two women Wednesday after seizing a meth lab at a home on Weaver Drive near Lexington.

Mark Alan Busby Sr., 50, Mark Allen Busby, II, 27, and Teresa Faye LeBlanc, 53, are charged with manufacturing meth, distributing meth and conspiracy to distribute meth. Carla D. Winnett, 46, is charged with manufacturing meth.

All four people lived at 159 Weaver Drive, Lot C, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the house after conducting a six-week undercover investigation concerning the manufacture and sale of meth at the residence, according to the sheriff's department.

When they searched the house, they found a one-pot reaction vessel that is used to manufacture meth in a van that was parked outside the residence, according to the sheriff's department. They also found chemicals and equipment used to manufacture meth around and underneath the residence.

Mark Busby, Sr. is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on bail totaling $40,000. Mark Busby, II, is being held on bail totaling $30,000.

LeBlanc is being held at the detention center on bail totaling $30,000, while Winnett is being held on a $10,000 bond.
