Lexington One Baseball Players, Coaches Earn Recognition

Gilbert High School and Lexington High School players and coaches won baseball honors and awards.

Several Lexington One baseball players and coaches earned recognition for their successful seasons.

Gilbert High baseball player Connor Owings received the 2A Player of the Year award from the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association (SCBCA). Owings and Austin LaBounty were chosen to play on the South Carolina All-Star Select Team. Gilbert High baseball player Mike Morrison was chosen to play on the North 2A/3A team.

The association also picked Coach Ashley Burnett as the top baseball coach in South Carolina among all the classes.

Lexington High baseball players Austin Bello and Colie Bowers earned spots on the South 1A/4A All-Star Team, and Lexinton High Coach Brian Hucks was chosen as the 4A Baseball Coach of the Year by SCBCA.

The White Knoll High Baseball Team had three players make the All-Star Team. The SCBCA selected Trevor Bradley and Raymond Murphy to play on the South 1A/4A Team that beat the North 2A/3A team during the annual All-Star Tournament. Carl Wise, White Knoll High baseball player who played on the South Carolina Select Team, helped beat the All-Star team from North Carolina.
