A College of Charleston student reports seeing an image of Jesus in a dead stingray washed up on Sullivan's Island.

Folks seem to see Jesus in a lot of stuff — cheese sandwiches, potato chips, nuts — and so someone should perhaps alert the folks at StuffThatLooksLikeJesus.com about a local find.

A woman reports seeing Jesus's likeness on a stingray that washed up on the shore of Sullivan's Island.

"I thought it looked like a homeless man on its back, so I snapped some pictures," Erica Scheldt, 24, told the Post and Courier.

But with the prodding of friends the the photo-sharing phone app Instagram, Scheldt starting seeing the resimblance. And given that this is the week before Easter, some are wondering if there's a sign.

David, you're a funny man.

I know there's a loaves and fishes joke in there somewhere, but I can't find it, perhaps you'd have better luck with it.

The world is full of non-believers....but when something goes wrong, the first 3 words out of a no-believer's mouth is OMG...why say that i you don't or won't believe in HIM...and to some who cannot find how Jesus did feed the multitude who came to hear him...they were believers.....NO matter what HE loves us all and died for us.
So show respect and humility.....because at some point, all of you non-believers will see HIS FACE....get ready for that.

The phrase "Oh my god!" might have had more of a biblical/religious meaning to it, and may still, to some people, I believe it is widely used as a expression, synonymous with "Holy Cow" and certain swear words you may choose to use when surprised/cared/shocked....I don't think that is a very strong argument.

The reason they say OMG so much is because of the same reason they say Oh F*** all the time, they hear it from the day they were born, its called expression, it has nothing to do with Religion. Folks like you will invent or believe in anything if it will quell your lack of confidence and insecurities.

AND, you know what a many we don't even know if he existed, let alone have a picture of LOOKS LIKE! PLEEZE! THERE ARE NO PICTURES OF JESUS, MARY, PAUL, MARK, LUKE, JOHN, OR ANY OTHER PERSON MENTIONED IN THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE, THE MUSLIM Qur'an OR THE JEWISH TORAH!
So as a reasoning person it would follow even if you see a picture of a face in any unusual place how would you know who it WAS!

God's existance does not waver on the fact of whether we believe or not. Death comes to everyone, so in the end may your choice have been right!

Hmmm...and what if after death you find yourself being punished for disbelief in Odin? You might spend eternity having your throat torn out by Garm, the four-eyed dog of the Norse underworld.

Oh, but what am I saying? Talking snakes and Jewish zombies make so much more sense.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son; that who so ever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life!
The second advent is coming soon - Have you repented and accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior or are you still in unbelief?
If you confess him with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you are saved! Simple as that; no sacrifices, no church affiliations, no payment; it is free!

Sometimes I wonder which people are harder to take serious. Religious people, or 5 year olds. Do you people listen to the nonsense you spew, or do you just spew it, unthinkingly? I mean listen to yourselves. Listen, no one died for my sins, ok. I was only born 28 years ago. I never met this magician jesus, nor do I care. I dont believe in an imaginary man in the sky. And yes, you religious people allows seem to have an "answer" to a question relating to god. I supposed its easy to just add more made up things to the mix. I have mocked jesus, talked badly about jesus, I've peed on churches, and smoked weed rolled in a page of the bible. Yet, I still live my life normally, and oddly, feel no different. But I know, god allows me to do that right? Not just the natural cycle of life. Oh wait, god created life right? Not the natural cycle of Science. You want to believe in something factual, start worshiping science. Because you people sound like such fools with your blabber and incoherent nonsense.

We are wired to see patterns. Faces are among the first patterns we learn to recognize. Our survival depends on it. As to seeing Jesus, Christians in general and Roman Catholics and Orthodox particular are surrounded by painted and sculpted depictions of Jesus that have a tradition that stretches back centuries. So it is no surprise that they "see" Jesus in random blobs and blotches. They are programed to do so by their past experiences and the expectation of the miraculous their religion encourages. It is really no more miraculous than seeing the Man or Rabbit in the moon or seeing all manner of things in the shadows or billows of clouds.

Religious people are the most gullible in the world. I mean, someone managed to trick them into thinking there is this giant man who died for our sins (even though we had yet to commit any. or even be born yet) and who made us all. (Out of Play-dough?) Yet, there is no real fact. No true evidence. Other then some fictional book that people back in the day wrote, as a way to control the masses. Funny. It went from controlling the masses, to now just controlling the asses. Go figure.

I have to disagree with you in that religious people are the most gullible in the world. That award goes to everyone who voted for Obama and those that still support him.

I certainly hope there are no religious people who don't believe in ANYTHING. If you believe in the fake image of jebus, you better be open minded to ANYTHING at all. I would love to see a religious person mock and laugh at someone who, say, might believe in Bigfoot or something. It would be the epitome of hypocritical.

I see an image of Jesus or maybe Tommy Chong on that dead stingray. People who see nothing but a dead fish probably can't find Waldo either, your loss. People who believe this is a sign from God are free to, but do you really think this is how your god wants to communicate with you? At least burning bushes and stigmata are interesting and compelling, smudges, toasted items and dead fish just aren't.

For the love of Pete, do some people truly believe that Jesus would present a likeness of himself on a carcass of some dead denizen? Don't think so. This is right along the lines of an alien having to resort to peeping in windows to find out what is going on, as if their super advanced technology did not have the capability of examining everything in detail with just the touch of a button or perhaps even a mere thought from their highly evolved brains. Pure hogwash.

Instead of 'chicken of the sea' maybe stingrays are the 'Christ of the sea'?! But then I have to wonder, which of you *believers* were alive when Jesus walked amongst the common men (and women and children) to be able to identify the man? Or maybe you're depending on past life remberances from a much previous incarnation? And while I understand this is from my own understandings, the mirror thing, it's the Christ within, not the Jesus within. Jesus was his own person and would not be anyone else. But the Christ consciousness, like the 'Father/Mother' spirit, is all pervading and personal to each being. Or so I see it.

Why would Jesus put his image on a dead stingray, on a shell, on piece of fries, on piece of cereal, etc.? Are those famous painted images of Jesus the real face of Jesus, when those painters have never seen Jesus in person? Looking for faith in all the wrong places: This is crazy.

I remember telling God, I got this! I remember laughing and mocking Him. It is fair for anyone to not believe, that is called choice. I am not laughing and mocking now. Ask me, laurieamber72@yahoo.com....... I dont have fancy words, i have no judgement toward others, I am just someone who has endured a change of heart. Ps. If I can figure God out, then that would make Him equal to me.. And we do not need another person like me!
