First Gentleman Michael Haley will deploy to Afghanistan next week.
The Associated Press is reporting Gov. Nikki Haley's husband will leave Jan. 10 for a one year mission with the S.C. Army National Guard.
Michael Haley's plans to deploy were announced in July, but it wasn't stated then exactly when the deployment would occur.
