Batesburg Woman Dies After Crash
The woman died Wednesday from injuries sustained in a crash near Batesburg-Leesville Tuesday.
A 23-year-old woman died Wednesday after she was injured in a crash Tuesday south of Batesburg-Leesville, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The woman was riding in a 1999 Ford pickup with a 19-year-old man when the truck ran off the right side of Brodie Road and hit a tree Tuesday, said Lance Cpl. Brent Kelly. They were about 0.7 miles from Batesburg-Leesville.
They weren't wearing seatbelts, Kelly said. They were transported to the hospital where the woman died Wednesday.
The Lexington County Coroner's Office hasn't released the identity of the woman.
