Additional Arrests in Murder Case

LCSD arrests two more men alleged to have robbed and killed a Swansea man on Feb. 12.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives have arrested two more men in connection with , 43, on Feb.  12 at his home on Calhoun Road near Swansea.

Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said detectives, in cooperation with the Columbia Police Department, on Friday arrested Henry Norris Johnson, Jr., 24, of 110 Washington Court, Swansea, on charges of murder, first-degree burglary and armed robbery. Johnson was being held Saturday at the Lexington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing. 

Johnson is a junior point guard on the Vorhees College men’s basketball team.

LCSD detectives, in cooperation with the Bamberg County Sheriff’s Office, also arrested Justin K. Washington, 21, of 5576 Capernaum Road, Denmark, on charges of murder, first-degree burglary and armed robbery. Washington was being held on Saturday at the county Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

, 31, of 393 Caldon Road, Swansea, on arrest warrants on charges of murder, first-degree burglary and armed robbery, Metts said. Larry remains in jail awaiting a bond hearing.

Johnson and Larry are cousins, Metts said. Washington is an acquaintance of Johnson.

Arrest warrants allege that on Feb. 12, Johnson, Larry, and Washington entered Milhouse's at 498 Calhoun Road near Swansea while armed with a shotgun, Metts said. 

Milhouse was shot in his upper leg during an alleged drug-related robbery at his home and quickly died of excessive blood loss, Lexington Coroner Harry Harman said. Detectives recovered a 20-gauge shotgun, and ballistic tests will be conducted to determine whether the shotgun was the weapon used to kill Milhouse, said Metts.
