11 Mailboxes Vandalized in Lexington Neighborhood

The mailboxes were hit with what appears to be a baseball bat, according to the sheriff's department.

Someone smashed 11 mailboxes with a baseball bat in a Lexington neighborhood this weekend, according to a Lexington County Sheriff's Department incident report.

A resident at 365 Irwin Road told a deputy Saturday that someone hit her mailbox and damaged it sometime Friday night, according to the report. Residents at seven other houses on the road said their mailboxes were also damaged. 

Mailboxes at three houses on Mark Lane were also damaged by what appeared to be a baseball bat, according to the report.
