Make a Difference: Host a Foreign Exchange Student!

Ayusa, a not for profit educational and cultural exchange organization, is seeking permanent and temporary volunteer host families for high school foreign exchange students, ages 15-18, including several U. S. Department of State scholarship students. Students have their own spending money and medical insurance. They speak
English, but want to improve, and they have a wide range of interests from basketball through violin. Families provide meals, a bed, and a nurturing home environment. Experienced, dedicated Ayusa staff are always on call and work closely with participants to promote a rewarding experience for all. In Albania, Brazil, China, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Turkey, Vietnam, and more than 60 countries worldwide,
students are waiting to hear that a host family is ready to welcome them. Make a positive impact on international relations and make dreams come true by sharing your America! For more information: www.ayusa.org, or call Diane Knetzer (803-781-4727).

Ayusa is currently accepting host family applications for the 2012-13 school year. Bring the world home! Volunteer to host an exchange student and add an international branch to your family tree! Ayusa provides host family placement and ongoing supervision to outstanding international high school students who would love to share a warm relationship with your family and experience America from your perspective. Hosting an exchange student brings school lessons in geography, world history, languages, current events, government, and economics to life, and gives young learners a head start by introducing them early to the global community that our world has become, but it can be fun and fulfilling for singles and retirees as well as for families with children and teenagers. Our students have already met rigorous standards and been accepted to our US Department of State-designated, CSIET-approved program. Next they must have a host family in order to leave their countries and follow their dreams. Please help by volunteering to host or by spreading the word to outstanding families throughout South Carolina. For information: Diane 803.781.4727/803.422.6247/mmeknetz@aol.com/www.ayusa.org
